PictureMast an mainsail rigged. Please ignore controls for robot, I just work there.
To build a replica of a historic vessel, to honor its hero, celebrate the voyage,  and let people know about an amazing story that's not widely known. That is the reason I want to build an honest ships model of the Kaimiloa.

TO create a website and blog while doing so only makes sense. The purpose is to share, educate, and entertain, why not start from the beginning, and create a trail of breadcrumbs for folks lost on the web to follow, should we catch their interest.

I have actually been working on this project for years, in my spare time. The model that Im building now is number 3. ( number 2 pictured above) What causes me to start a blog on the subject today? My regular blog about scientific exploration is out of reach, because the bill didnt get paid, and wont be till monday. what else can I do but start a new one!

    Heyerdahl Was Wrong

Eric De Bisschop inspired and inaugurated a wave of pride and capability in Polynesian and Austronesian navigation.  His Pioneering voyage in 1936 rekindled awareness of the greatest period of exploration on the sea. I started this website to gather and share information about De Bisschop and the Kaimiloa.
